Ok, I have a question, maybe someone can answer it.. I haven’t lived in Conroe for the last 5 years and know nothing about this “BLVD”.. Now is this strictly a clubbing bar? Or is there going to be somewhere to where we can mingle without the drunken club atmosphere? Thanks..

My understanding is that it will be closed to the public (CHS97 only) from 5:30-10:00 (I think I’ve got the hours right — Lauren can confirm)

We will have the place to ourselves from 5:30-8:30. The club owner said people the crowd normally doesn’t start showing up until around 10:30 or so. There are lots of places to mingle and the rooftop is beautiful.

Hi Ricky - Marius is right. The venue will be closed to the public while we’re there and it’s also pretty sizeable so there will be lots of room for mingling. My impression it will be a welcome location for what we’re wanting to do - catch up with each other in a casual atmosphere.

Also continue visiting this site from time to time. We’ll be updating information and posting pictures to give everyone a better understanding of what the place will be like, etc.

Thanks for the info.. Like I said, I haven’t lived in Conroe for over 5 years and haven’t seen this place.. I wasn’t looking forward to the clubbing atmosphere, since those days are behind me now.. But it does not sound like it will be like that..

I heard that there was going to be 2 days of reunion. One “casual day” to hang out and then this BLVD deal. Can anyone please confirm? Also, when do you need the final head count by?

Hi Xanthia,
Great that you brought that up. The only event that the committee is formally planning (and that the ticket price will go towards) is the Saturday night event at BLVD. Since it’s been a CHS tradition to meet up informally at Papas On The Lake on the Friday night beforehand, why break with tradition? Let’s do that too. For the classmates in town by Friday, plenty are planning to show up at Papas On The Lake around 7 or 8p. Anyone is welcome to come. Just keep in mind that some classmates will not be in town by then and our only chance to see them will be at the Sat. night event at BLVD. We will need a final headcount by July 31. It’ll be cheaper to purchase tickets beforehand than at the door b/c the venue requires a headcount in order to appropriately staff the event. Ticket prices and all remaining info will be posted soon. Promise.

blvd is typically pretty chill regardless…the patio upstairs is totaly minglevillle!

As far as the night before thats definitely a must, I can fly out saturday morning so I can get a bit of reunion action in!

Unfortunately there’s not a list of who has accepted or not right now. It’s something we’d like to have at some point, but the system’s we’re using to do the registration don’t really support that.

That said, consider the fact that your friends might be waiting on your decision before they decide. It’s a catch-22

I’ve heard that most will go elsewhere or go home. After 9pm, the place isn’t ours, so there won’t be just alumni there.
